I have both joy and grief in sharing this news: my book, What If God’s Got Me? Widowed, Not Invisible, is officially published.

This is a book I never wanted to write—because the only reason it exists is that my husband, Blaine, is gone. To hold these pages is to hold the tension of loss and resilience, sorrow and courage. Publishing it is both exciting and heartbreaking.

I wish I could say writing it meant I’ve arrived—that I’m healed, or done grieving—but that wouldn’t be true. This book is not the ending of my grief, but part of my healing. Writing it required me to live out what I’ve called RISE: resiliency, intentionality, strength, empowerment. But none of those come without struggle.

Why did I write it? Because I hope:

Announcing this book is vulnerable and frightening, but I trust God will use it in ways beyond what I can imagine.
